Spancrete Caribbean Limited is involved in many
building types that it is not always easy to
categorize our work. However our philosophy is based
on meeting the needs of the architects, engineers or
building developers within the context of the
particular building project and its importance.
We have also been looking at specific bodies of work
and analyzing the trends associated. Higher
education work, for example, now involves more than
just simply designing a class room. It includes
recreational facilities, laboratories, and
administrative offices and in some cases – even
retail.
Projects today are increasingly time sensitive. Our
performance is based on and often measured by the
speed that we deliver the pieces required in each
project. We understand your need to avoid delays and
highlight the role precast concrete plays in meeting
the efficiency needs expected in today’s market.

jointing and connections.
We understand that the construction process is no
longer linear which means that design and
construction can be occurring simultaneously. We
will work with you aggressively to make changes or
alterations in the shop drawings, work through
details and create ways to cast, attach panels and

If you need us to repeat a piece, that is not a
problem – regardless of the shape. We can
manufacture components fairly quickly with an
elevated level of quality control – maintaining a
high consistency of material and color – in the
meantime allowing for ease of attachment to your
existing structure.

Our Process…

Once the engineers have
chosen the plank size, the Spancrete machine is
prepared while the strands are precisely laid in
position.

Tension is then applied with
many tons of force pretensioning the strands.

The Spancrete extruder
simultaneously places 3 layers of zero slump
concrete, forming a monolithic, high-strength
plank.

Once the proper concrete
release strength is achieved, the plank is cut
to the desired length.

Pretensioning forces of the
strands and the superior concrete bonding is
what creates the tremendous strength of the
Spancrete plank.

The Spancrete system of
compaction and bonding concrete with the
prestressed strands allows high load capacity
and the longest spans in the industry.
